Rules on School & Church Property

  1. When you arrive at school: Do not run. Nothing should be placed on the floor.
  2. Upon entering a classroom: Enter quietly. Make sure you have everything you need from your backpack (books, papers, pencils, homework, etc.). Neatly set your belongings on your desk and then put the items in the proper place on your desk or wherever they belong. When everything is in the proper place, sit at your desk and wait for the teacher.
  3. Hallway procedure: Always be silent in the hallway during school hours.
  4. Request for a restroom break: If you need to be excused other than our scheduled class break, raise your hand with three fingers extended. The teacher will either dismiss you or ask you to wait until an appropriate time.
  5. Food and water in the classroom: Food and water are not permitted in the classroom. We will have special days when food or drinks are allowed.
  6. Tardy policy: If you are late to class, enter quietly and begin working on the current assignment. Do not discuss where you were or why you were late with classmates.
  7. Dismissal: After cleaning your area, pushing in your chair, and getting your belongings, leave the classroom while respecting others.
  8. Substitute teachers, student teachers, or adult helpers: Treat any adult classroom assistant with the utmost respect as you would your teacher. Obey immediately when a command is given.
  9. No tattling or whining: Whining or tattling is not permitted. If you have a problem, let your teacher know in a mature way.
  10. Art assignments: Sit quietly and wait for instructions. Listen first. If you have a question, raise your hand and wait to be called on.
  11. Heading papers: Put your name in the top right-hand corner and the date in the top left-hand corner.
  12. In restrooms: No talking at any time. When finished, flush the toilet, wash your hands, and throw away trash in the trash can.
  13. Seat check: When the teacher says “seat check,” make sure you are sitting properly at your desk—proper posture, feet on the floor, back straight, etc.
  14. Use polite words when you talk (Thank you, excuse me, I’m sorry, etc.).
  15. Church building: Do not write on walls, tables, or other property. Do not eat, drink, or chew gum in the facility except in the dining area.
  16. Supervision: Students are not allowed to be outside of the church without a teacher’s supervision.
  17. Personal items: Students are not permitted to bring toys, video games, or cell phones.

Note: If you damage any property, you will have to pay for it.
